Sci-Fi-FantasyMystery Adventure Realistic Fiction Historical Fiction

This genre is the one that you can relate to. Realistic fiction could happen to you today in your hometown. It could be real. No weird stuff like talking animals or aliens, just the plain life. Realistic fiction can be funny, scary or sad-- just like life.

Realistic Fiction Book Reviews

  • Anderson, Laurie Halse. Speak. *** This is a perfect example of the genre "realistic fiction!" It could be real. It could be you. A great encouragement to middle schoolers dealing with the angst of growing up. Standing up for what is right even if it is not popular is a journey we all must make (and keep making) in our lives. A TOUGH journey! ms. mudd

  • Sparks, Nicholas. A Walk To Remember ***** This is a very emotional book about how a person can change in a short matter of time. Landon was once a wild kid, but slowed himself down to enjoy life. He joins new clubs, and falls in love with the "goody-goody" in school. A great book about changes, love, and at the end, death. A great book for advanced readers. ~ Logan
